Registered Psychotherapist | Wellness Educator
I am the founder and service provider at Mindful Map Counselling, with nearly a decade of experience working in various academic, non-profit, crisis, and healthcare settings in the field of mental health, as a therapist, educator, and researcher. I completed advanced education and training at internationally recognized institutions, in Canada and Ireland, and I actively undertake ongoing professional development.
My specialized training, diverse background, and multi-cultural awareness offers a unique lens into many types of struggles. My areas of specialization with children, youth and adults include trauma (incl. complex PTSD, sexual assault, vicarious trauma, traumatic grief etc.), relationships/attachment, mood disorders (anxiety, depression etc.), and racial/cultural identity. In addition, I have experience working with ADHD, stress/burnout, perfectionism, OCD, anger management, BPD and various other issues. I fluently offer services in three languages: English, French, and Arabic.
I am furthermore passionate about psychoeducation and expanding mental health awareness. I delivered a number of guests talks and presentations on a variety of topics at several institutions and conferences globally.

I recognize that each client's life story and healing journey is unique. My approach is integrative, by combining various therapeutic methods to deliver a tailored intervention for each client's unique concerns, whether short-term or long-term. My goal is to help clients navigate and mindfully map their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and values--leading to a fulfilling and balanced life.
I utilize several evidence-based models, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioural (incl. CBT, DBT), emotion-focused, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapy. I work from a client-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive framework.
